Knicks Win on the Road

Al Harrington went off for 31, David Lee had another double double (23/17), Nate provided a spark, QRich hit some threes and Wilson and Gallo continued to show loads of potential and the Knicks beat the Pacers in Indiana, 122-113. The score doesn't reflect it, and the refs did things to hide it, but the Knicks are starting to play some D. They have a tough stretch of games coming up this week, including the Lakers and the Celts, but they are playing as well as they have all year and they should be up for each opponent. They're a work in progress, but this is what a great coach can do. Go Knicks!

Renney Rangers Get Shut Out

Dawes made an inexcusable gaffe and the Rangers lost 1-0 in Boston. Something has to be done here.

Yanks Should Make Friends With Incentives

As Adam Dunn continues to stick out like a built for YS sore thumb, the Yanks really need to consider trying to work out an incentive laden deal with him. In fact, they should do as many of these as they can going forward. Previously, it was always said that the Yanks didn't like putting incentives in deals. But generally, that was at a time when the incentives were largely awards and all-star based and were sought on top of huge guaranteed money. Now the Yanks have a chance to get someone like Dunn at a lower guaranteed number, but can build in rate incentives. In other words, he rewarded for the more he does. Their should be OPS bonuses starting at OPSing .850 and moving at increments of ten to over 1.000.

By rewarding rate stats rather than counting stats there would be strong incentives to produce power and patience, but no raw numbers of hits, walks or xbh's that had to be produced. The Yanks would just reward the rates, and the player would be responsible for producing the AB's to create them. Likewise, pitchers could be incentivised by their defense independant era rates. That would mean, there would be no incentive to necessarily overdue the K's, but strong incentives to pitch well.

Rate incentives can't really be screwed with the same way play time incentives can be. There'd be no reason for a manager to sit someone to keep them away from bonuses, and no reason for aplayer, like Andy Pettitte, to pitch hurt when it would also hurt his money.

Anyway, while the Yanks should be looking for bargains to shore up the O, rate based incentives would be a great way to reward performance and inspire good play.

Austin Jackson

Austin Jackson's stock has been down this winter. Where people were predicting a future all-star last offseason, they are predicting a big league average player this year. So what happened? Well, he got to AA and produced .354/.419 for a .773OPS which was about 30 points above league average. Then he was sort of electric in the postseason before having a very poor showing in the Arizona Fall League. So who is he, the guy who OPS'd .964 in 67 games at high A as a 20 year old or the .773 OPS he was as a 21 year old? I don't think he's either quite yet, but I do still see him as having a chance to be an all-star.

There are 3 reasons I'm still optimistic about Austin Jackson's chances. First, he split a lot of time between basketball and baseball when he was growing, and while that does prove great athletic ability, it also tells us it will take him longer to catch up with the kids who were focusing only on baseball when they were growing up.

Second, his road numbers were a lot better than his home numbers at Waterfront Park. For some reason, I can't find them right now, but I did see them after the season and they were stark. Power is often said to be the last thing that develops and the Yankee minor leaguers play in a lot of homeparks that supress their power. This was even true when they played in Norwich. Take a look at Soriano's #'s in the Yankee system, he was older than AJack in the Eastern League but his power was also being surpressed.

So, why do I bring up Soriano? Because third, and the reason I really believe in Austin Jackson, is that he, like Sori before him, has absolutely sick bat speed. Sure, he has to keep learning the strikezone and walk more, but aside from patience, which can and should be drilled, the best thing a hitter can have is bat speed, and AJack has bat speed to spare, and at some point that's gonnna turn into power, just like it did for Sori. He just has to keep making up for the ab's he missed while he was off playing hoops as a kid.

So, because he is so athletic, is already a little better than his numbers, and has filthy bat speed, I still think Austin Jackson is gonna be a big time player. He'll be debuting in AAA as a 22 year old and I wouldn't be surprised if he appears to have a break out season. He has developed in fits and starts and I think all the work he did last year will pay off this coming season. I think he has the work ethic and is bound to succeed.

Plax:No Action by the League

Commissioner Goodell said, during his state of the league press conference today that because Plaxico Burress is a first time offender, they are just going to let the legal system do what it does before deciding if there will be anything else. So as of right now, Plax just has his trial to worry about. I wouldn't be surprised if there was no trial and if there was a community service mandate by March.

Johnny Mize

On August 22, 1949, the Yankees bought aging NL slugger Johnny Mize from the New York Giants for $40,000. They proceeded to win 5 straight championships. Of course, Mize was only a big part of the `50 and `51 teams as `52 and `53 were all decline. Still, it was a smart move by a savvy GM that paid off. Back in the `90's, the Yanks added a prematurely aging Darryl Strawberry, and started winning championships again. Now, I don't see causation in either of these historic deals, but I do see the kind of moves the Yanks have and should make when they're closing in on titles. Now, not all of these moves work, back in the `70's they signed Jimmy Wynn hoping he could help, but he was too far over the hill. In the early `40's, the Yanks tried adding an aging, and drunken Paul Waner but he, too was too far gone. Still, the teams were in championship for when both moves were made.

So, why do I bring this up? Well, right now it looks like Adam Dunn, who fits the Yankee model of power and patience is available on the cheap and as a DH and occasional OF/1B, he could really help the Yanks win some titles.

Yanks Can Still Sign Free Agents

Peter Abraham is reporting that Brian Cashman has corrected an erroneous MLB report that the Yanks had reached their free agent quota. Cash says they have not. And that's good, cause the Yanks still need to get a bench, the other things they need will have to be traded for. Go Yanks.

Rangers Acquire Wild Enforcer

The Rangers today completed a trade that sent waived forward Dan Fritsche to the Minnesota wild for big defenseman Erik Reitz. Reitz has played parts of 3 seasons with the Wild, but only logged 45 penalty minutes, which makes me thing I bought into the enforcer label too easily. This gives the Rangers one more bubble defender who is probably more valuable than Kalinin and Rozsival. I don't know what the cap implication is. And of course, what did we expect to get for Fritsche? Watch him play well for the Wild.

Rangers Lose to the Pens

The Pens kept running into Hank and he eventually gave up some goals. The Rangers couldn't score with them, though Zherdev did break out of his goal scoring slump. Poor game.

Knicks Win

Nate Robinson scored 20 4th quarter points as the Knicks rode a 2nd half comeback all the way to their 5th straight win at home. Robinson brought a ton of intensity on O and D, and his teammates stepped up with him. The ball movement and the defense are really coming along for the Knicks and it's a testament to the coaching. If they keep improving like they have been, they could make the playoffs and be a bit of a tough out. Needless to say, Duhon and Lee were once again excellent, and Jefferies, QRich, Harringotn, Thomas and Gallinari all contributed when they were out there. The Garden is electric again and it's all because of Coach D. Go Knicks.

Giants Lose Curtis

The Giants have lost Defensive Quality Control coach Andre Curtis to Steve Spagnuolo's Rams staff. Though it doesn't sound like a big deal, and probably isn't in the short term, Curtis was one of the mix of bright young coaches that Coughlin and company have been bringing along. So, while it may not be a big loss now, this was a young coach who, along with Merritt, Quinn and some others, had down the road value for the Giants. It will be interesting to see who they get to replace him. Go Giants.

Dunn

Buster Olney is reporting that the Yankees could have interest in Adam Dunn on a 1 year contract if they can trade 2 from the group of Matsui, Nady and Swisher. While it doesn't seem like they'll find a match for Matsui, and it would be dumb to trade both Swisher and Nady, I don't think this will happen. But, if they could move Nady and Matsui and make Dunn their DH it would be pretty amazing. Dunn hits 40 homers a year like clockwork and walks 100 times. His power and patience would help the Yanks burn through starters like they used to. Plus his 40 homers could become 45 or more if the new Yankee Stadium plays like the old one did for lefty power hitters. We'll see if anything happens. Go Yanks.

Rangers Win

Scott Gomez got his second half off to a good start with goal and lots of puck movement. Korpi and Dubi also scored, and Nik Zherdev may or may not have had two assists, he had a least one, but it's impossible to tell who has gotten the points when Sam and Joe are doing the games. Valliquette was in net and gave up 2 softish goals. Still, it was a good start to the second half, in that they collected 2 points without having to go to overtime or a shootout. They still need to get better. Go Rangers.

UPDATE: The Rangers waived F Dan Fritsche.

Knicks Win!

The Knicks behind Nate Robinson and Wilson Chandler had their first 4th quarter come from behind win of the season. The Knicks had to outscore the Rockets 30-18 down the stretch to do it. Lee, Harrington, and Duhon also had good games. Danilo Gallinari was 4-4 from the line, but didn't hit any of his other shots and didn't take many. He also had a couple of boards. They're not getting him the ball enough, but hopefully, that will straighten out. It was great to see Chandler break out of his slump with 18 and 7 off the bench. They're turning into a bit of a team and it's fun to watch. Go Knicks.

Andy On the Way

It looks like Andy Pettitte's dream of pitching in the new stadium is going to come true. According to several sources, the Yanks and the Hendricks brothers are deep in talks that could return Andy to the Yankees as soon as this afternoon. Now, while it would have been exciting to see Hughes in the rotation this year, it is probably better that we go into the season with only Joba needing his innings limited among the starters. Andy will potentially give the Yanks 200 innings and really take pressure off of the bullpen and Joba. We still might see Hughes or other young pitchers in the rotation at some point, but we go into the season only having to spot Joba. The deal apparently features a 6M base and another 6M in incentives. In general, this was probably handled the way Cashman would have preferred handling Mo and Po last year before Hank blinked, and what we can expect for re-signs going forward. Go Yanks.

UPDATE: Andy has officially signed. Now let's fix the bench.

Trade for One

With Plax no sure thing to return, and the results we've arleady witnessed without him, the Giants could look for a new #1 receiver in the trade market. Three players who fit that description are Braylon Edwards 26, Anquan Boldin 29 and Chad Ocho Cinco 31. Edwards is the youngest and carries the least baggage, though he has been plagued at times by drops. Nevertheless, he would command the Plax-like double that would clear a safety out of the box and re-open the play-action game for the Giants.
Boldin is the next youngest, and though his hands are sure, he does not have Braylon's gamebreaking speed and he does seem to get hurt a lot. Additionally, he didn't look like much of a team player when he was yelling at his OC in the closing minutes of the NFC Championship game. What's more, he's likely to be on the block only because he wants a new deal. Can the Giants afford to both give up picks and a big bonus for him?

Chad Ocho Cinco is the oldest, and should be the cheapest in trade terms. That being said, he seems a little nuts, and might take a very hard sell to get Coach Coughlin, a man who wants the players to take the names off the backs of their shirts, to go for. Still, he would demand a double team and could still stretch the field for the Giants. When he's happy, there is hardly a more joyful football player on earth, and TC does really go for happy players.
The Giants will probably hit WR with a pick and a trade or free agent signing. If it's a trade, I'd expect it to be one of these three players with Edwards and Boldin commanding a 1 and Ocho Cinco available for a little less. Perhaps Jerry Reese will be able to get players involved to lessen the loss of picks in the trade. We'll see. Go Giants.

Pick One

In 2004, the Giants were able to use a second round pick to select an ideal Giant offensive lineman, Chris Snee. This year, they should have two shots at repeating the feat. Louisville's Eric Wood, Oregon's Max Unger and Cal's Alex Mack are G/C types who are strong, nasty and can pull. In other words, any of them would be a perfect fit for the GMen. The Giants should have 2 2's, if the Saints don't re-sign Vilma by 2/27, and they'd be wise to spend one of them on Wood, Unger or Mack.

Amare Now?

The buzz out of Phoenix is that the Suns might be willing to trade Amare Stoudemire as they cannot see themselves re-signing him. Obviously, Amare has a connection to Coach D'Antoni and the Knicks have a big trading chip in David Lee. Now, the argument against re-signing Lee has been that he would prevent the Knicks from getting a second big time FA in 2010. Would trading him for Amare now, assuming Amare would re-up at terms that would still accomodate LeBron or Wade or Johnson, make sense? It could, but I wonder if Amare plus whoever in 2010 would really make the Knicks are championship team. I guess we'll see.

Knicks Win Again

The Knicks, after falling behind by 15 in the first quarter ended up winning by 20 at the Garden tonight. After scoring 57 against the Suns, the Knick bench accounted for 59 in this one. We can only conclude that the Knicks are not starting their best 5. Meanwhile the scoring was pretty balanced and Danilo Gallinari scored a career high 11 points before fouling out. He also made some great passes and grabbed some rebounds. He had a clean block called a foul, too, but that's what happens to rookies. Nate is hot again, but still drawing a tech a game. He's got to get some poise. David Lee had another double-double and is the only one who seems to look for Gallo on offense. Harrington also had a double-double, I think. Chandler needs to pick it back up, though he did contribute some good plays once again tonight. QRich was cold and Jefferies really wasn't a factor. Duhon had a hot start then settled into a typical game. They go again tomorrow night and if they can win that one, we'll have to call the hot. Go Knicks.

Giants Hire Jack Bicknell Jr. for Assistant OL

Tom Coughlin played a little "pay it forward" today by hiring Jack Bicknell Jr. to replaces Googs as assistan OL coach. Junior had been coachin OL at BC until the recent turnover there. Of course, TC coached under Jack Bicknell during the Doug Flutie days and has probably know Jack Jr. since he was a kid. Though their seems to be favoritism involved, Junio comes from a strong coaching background and Flaherty isn't gonna work with anyone who can't do the job. So, barring the loss of Gilbride to the Raiders, it looks like the coaching staff is complete.

Giants Hire Hermann for LB's

Today the Giants replaced Bill Sheridan at Linebackers Coach by hiring his good friend, Jim Hermann, most recently of the Jets. Before spending three years with the Jets, Hermann was at Michigan for 20 years, eight of them as a Defensive Coordinator. Between switching Calvin Pace from DE to LB with the Jets and working with kids for 20 years at Michigan, that's a lot of teaching. It seems like he'll fit right in with the Giants staff. Solid hire.

Knicks Stun Suns

The Knicks finally closed out a tight game with a good team at home when they got by the Suns tonight at the Garden. Lee had another tremendous game 25/16 and Nate Robinson tossed in 20 during a +24 night off the bench. Danilo Gallinari continued to chip in with 10/4/1/1 in decent minutes but limited opportunities since his teamates don't pass to him yet. Tim Thomas who was in fould trouble all night had 10 points late, and Al Harrington added 17 in his usual way. Duhon and QRich were solid, Jefferies didn't get much done. The final was 114-109 and it was a big one for the Knicks. Go Knicks.

2 Pts

Scottie Gomez finally scored a power play goal, and combined with three other goals by Naslun, Sjostrom (shorthanded) and Betts (shorthanded) the Rangers were able to beat the Ducks 4-2 at the Garden. The Rangers gave up two one goal leads before settling down and putting the game away in the 3rd period. It was good to see Gomez and Naslund earn some dough. Go Rangers.

Melky Signs

Melky, who has not been traded for Mike Cameron came to terms on a one year 1.4M deal with the Yanks today. The Yanks were offering 1.1 and Cabrera was looking for 1.7M when they swapped arbitration figures so they met in the middle. Melky had an awful year last year, but if he gets back to taking his walks, like he did as a rookie and incorporates his legs in his swing when he does swing, there's still a shot he could give us a league average bat in CF. That would be awesome. Go Yanks.

Antropov on the Way?

There's a rumor going around that the Maple Leafs, unable to reach a new deal with 6'6" power forward Nik Antropov are looking to deal him and that the Rangers are leading the pack for his services. Obviously, but Antropov with Dubinsky and Zherdev this year, then with Anisimov and Zherdev next year (if the Niks can be extended) would create at least one balanced line for the Rangers. That would be a start. Of course the devil is in the details and we'd have to hope one of our big, stupid contracts was headed the other way in this deal. It would also be good to hang onto Grachev, Sanguinetti and Del Zotto in any deal, but who knows if that can be done. Go Rangers.

Yanks Avoid Arbitration With Nady

The Yankees avoided arbitration with Xavier Nady today by inking him to a 1 yr. 6.55M deal. This fixes Nady's cost, and presumably makes him more tradeable now, instead of waiting for the arbitration process to set his cost. Perhaps there is a trade brewing. Go Yanks!

Knicks Finally Finish One

The Knicks blew a 13 point lead, but Chris Duhon scored 12 4th quarter points to lead the Knicks to narrow win over the Bulls in the annual MLK Day Matinee 102-98. Lee was game, but limited by a bad ankle, and Nate showed signs of life at last. Both Chandler and Danilo Gallinari made big plays when on the court and both continue to show exciting potential. We don't need them winning all the time yet, but we do need to see progress and we saw a bit of that today. QRich had another strong game and is really elevating his trade value lately.

Sheridan It Is

The Giants have just announced that LB coach Bill Sheridan is indeed their new DC. Tom Coughlin interviewed both Sheridan, he bears a somewhat disturbing resemblance to Joe Theisman, and Peter Giunta, the DB coach who had been the Rams DC back when they won the Superbowl. He asked both how they would improve the D, and both gave good answers. He said his gut told him Sheridan, so let's hope his gut was right. I think it's strong move as they can just keep growing the D they have instead of starting over or changing too much with an outside coordinator. They do not seem to have named a new LB coach, but I'm sure that will come. Check www.giants.com for emerging details. Go Giants!

Capers to the Pack

According to PFT, Dom Capers, who was thought to be the Giants first choice to replace Steve Spagnuolo has come to terms with the Green Bay Packers. This tells me one thing: Dom Capers was NOT the first choice of the New York Giants. Had he been, there is no way on earth he'd take the Packer job over the chance to coach Tuck, Kiwi, Osi and all those young DB's. So, I'd expect we'll find out is was gonna be Coach Sheridan all along in the coming days. That should be fine. Go Giants.

Return of the Lefties

Though we don't really know about the new stadium yet, the old one played well for lefthanded pitchers like Lefty Gomez, Whitey Ford and Al Downing before the remodel, and Ron Guidry, Andy Pettitte and David Wells after the the re-model. Then, with the departure of Wells and Pettitte (pt. 1) and aside from the ghost of Randy Johnson, the 80 year stream of Yankee lefties ran a little dry. What's more, the minor league committment to lefties that produced Pettitte, Sterling Hitchcock, Eric Milton and others crashed and burned as players like Alex Graman, Danny Borrell, David Martinez, Matt Smith, Brandon Claussen and Sean Henn produced a total a 0 quality Yankee starters. And as the farm ended its LHP bias and started churning out quality righties, it looked like the Yanks might not have pitchers that could get a boost from the home park.

But things have changed with the signing of CC Sabathia, the breakout by Phil Coke, the mound conversion of Wilkins De La Rosa, the drafting of Jeremy Bleich and Nik Turley and the signing of Manny Banuelos, the Yanks once again have a smallish, but intriguing group of lefties in the system. Coke and De La Rosa may end up in the pen, though, thus far neither has failed as a starter. Bleich, Turley and Banuelos are all profiling like starters, and Bleich, for one could be a fast mover. It should be fun tracking their progress this summer. Bleich and De La Rosa could start in Tampa, where Banuelos has an outside shot at Charleston, but most likely he and possibly Turley will start in SI.

Rangers Shutout in Pitt

Lousy effort after their sort of impressive win on Friday. Something's got to give.

Cash Laying His Cards on the Table?

According to Tyler Kepner, Brian Cashman has conceded that he is listening to offers on Swisher and Nady, and they are primarily coming from the teams named in the papers. This seems unusual for Cash who usually keeps his cards a little closer, if not in his pocket. In any event, Cash emphasized that they don't have to trade either, and will only move one for something that makes sense. Hopefully, if something does make sense, it involves Nady and now Swisher.

Knicks Fail to Finish Again

The Knicks couldn't finish for the second night in a row. Chris Duhon got hurt and didn't return, so Nate Robinson was running the show. Gallinari played about 16 minutes and was 2-4 with 2 threes. However; Nate, Harrington and Chandler preferred to miss a ton of shots rather than throw it to the kid who was open all night. D'Antoni is gonna ream them for that. It was embarrassing. Oh, well, Gallinari is one of the few who'll still be a Knick in 2010. Go Lottery!

Giants Targetting Capers?

ESPN is reporting that the Giants are targetting Dom Capers to fill the role of DC going forward http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3840888 . Capers is a sort of legendary zone blitz coordinator who has not been terribly successful in two head coaching stints. He's coached for Tom Coughlin before in Jacksonville. He certainly has great cred, and at this stage of the game, should the Giants keep winning he would probably not be offered another head coaching spot. On the other hand, he is more well known for running 3-4's than 4-3's, and his zone blitz's do tend to put players like Osi, Tuck and Kiwi in coverage more than we'd want to see them. That said, he is a great coordinator who has twice done well enough to get head coaching offers, and the Giants would probably be able to keep him for awhile. Let's see what happens. Go Giants.

Does the Sheridan Era Begin Now?

As words seeps out that Giant DC Steve Spagnuolo has taken the Rams head coaching job, our thoughts turn to Big Blue and what they'll do to replace their departed DC. The in-house candidate has been LB coach Bill Sheridan, and he looks like he could be ready. Apparently, Spags relied on Sheridan for more than just positional coaching, and the two spent time scheming together. Sheridan has been coaching since 1981 and spent lots of time at various colleges including Notre Dame and Michigan before joining the Giants several years ago. It is unknown whether or not the Giants will look outside the organization for a replacement or if Spags will try to poach any of his Giant colleagues. We wish Spags the best of luck with the Rams and the Giants the best of luck in shoring up the defensive coaching staff. Go Giants.

Gallinari Return

Knicks lottery pick and possible future impact player Danilo Gallinari is active for tonight's game in Washington. The 6'10" rookie could add a needed dimension and could also hasten a David Lee trade, if that is, in fact, in the plans. Go Gallo!

Knicks Beat Bullets

David Lee had a monster game (30/10/6) and QRich and Harrington were also red-hot. The Bullets were unconscious from the field, but the Knicks kept moving the ball and protecting the ball and ultimately the game was their's. Duhon, Chandler and Jeffries also pitched in with nice efforts while Nate is still looking for his game. They are getting very fun to watch and Danilo Gallinari should be back pretty soon. Go Knicks!

Rest in Peace, Khan

Before creating Khan, the ultimate Star Trek villain, as well as Mr. Roarke, the all knowing master of peoples' fantasies, Ricardo Montalban was a very underrated movie actor. He always added quite a bit to every roll he played. Btw, if you ever get a chance check out "Right Cross" it's a boxing flick he made in 1950 where he showed off real boxing skills. Much better than DeNiro and Stallone. Cool guy, classy division. He'll be missed.

Rest in Peace #6

Patrick McGoohan, start of Secret Agent Man, The Prisoner and Alias The Scarecrow has passsed away at the age of 80. He was a tremendously cool and talented actor who went on to guest and co-star in lots of other projects, but I will always remember him on those three compelling roles. Rest in Peace.

Two Points

Nigel Dawes scored his 4th goal in the last 8 games, and Henrik Lundqvist saved 33 shots as the Rangers just barely won out on the Island tonight. For long periods of time the Islanders played harder and but for some great saves by Hank it might have been a loss. They need to find a way to score more. Meanwhile, down in the OHL Evgeny Grachev already has 22 goals. Could he help next year? We'll see. In other news, the Rangers are reportedly working to extend Nik Zherdev, and that's a very good idea. Go Rangers.

Giants and Jake Getting Close?

Though the Giants season ended prematurely on Sunday, they are already working to lock up a key piece for next year and beyond. I'm hearing the Giants are close to re-signing their gianting halfback Brandon Jacobs. The terms will no doubt work of the dominant but sometimes dinged back as well as the Giants. Jacobs is a big key to the Giants' success. Simply put, when he is healthy and able to go, the Giants win. It's unknown what the Giant plans are for Ward, Bulter and some of the other FA's, and certainly some of the older vets like Madison and McQuarters will probably be cut for cap purposes. Two things; however, seem pretty certain: Jake will be back, and Eli will be extended. The Giants are going to reload this offseason and the first move looks like it will be Big Jake. Go Giants!

Knicks Beat the Hornets

The Knicks put together a terrific team effort tonight to beat the Hornets in New Orleans for one of their biggest wins of the year. Chandler hit two clutch shots down the stretch, QRich hit one and Harrington iced it with a three. But the entire rotation contributed tonight and they really tried to play defense. Good win. Go Knicks!

Hall of Fame Voters Go 1 for 2

Today, the Baseball Hall of Fame admitted one of the greatest players of all time, Rickey Henderson and then turned around and screwed the pooch by admitting Fenway only superstar Jim Rice. Better options like Bert Blyleven, Tim Raines and Alan Trammel didn't get enough votes. It is time they take the vote out of the hands of dumbass sportswriters.

Congrats Eagles

The Giants just couldn't get it back together after the Plaxico issue this year, and the loss to the Eagles will have to looked at carefully. Granted it's never going to be easy for the Giants when Eli and Pierce play poorly, but the playcalling is going to have to be examined. The Giants just didn't run enough today and Eli threw two crucial picks. The good news is that we'll get Osi back next year, have the cap room to perhaps add Plax replacement, and will have between 9 and 11 picks in the draft, 7 of which will now be higher than we expected them to be. This is a difficult end to a championship run, but, make no mistake, the Giants are on the right track and will be right back in the title mix next year and for the foreseeable future. Go Giants.

Wow

Things aren't looking good for the Giants. They're gonna need something like a miracle here.

Go Giants!

I'm expecting big games by Eli, Jake, Boss, Hixon and the ENTIRE DEFENSE. Punch `em in the mouth, Giants!
