Giants Targetting Capers?

ESPN is reporting that the Giants are targetting Dom Capers to fill the role of DC going forward http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3840888 . Capers is a sort of legendary zone blitz coordinator who has not been terribly successful in two head coaching stints. He's coached for Tom Coughlin before in Jacksonville. He certainly has great cred, and at this stage of the game, should the Giants keep winning he would probably not be offered another head coaching spot. On the other hand, he is more well known for running 3-4's than 4-3's, and his zone blitz's do tend to put players like Osi, Tuck and Kiwi in coverage more than we'd want to see them. That said, he is a great coordinator who has twice done well enough to get head coaching offers, and the Giants would probably be able to keep him for awhile. Let's see what happens. Go Giants.

Phil are you a fan of this move potentially or would you rather stay within? I know that if avail TC would want Gregg Williams as his top choice

Capers has been a hot coordinator for going on 15 years. He spent the last season as an advisor to Belichick. He's the goods and it would be a fine move.
