Breaking: The Knicks are Trading KP to Dallas
I hate this guy. He's gonna send KP to Dallas to play with Luca. So, they're also moving Courtney Lee and Tim Harday, and getting Dennis Smith Jr. and two expirings. Worst trade ever. I'll update if there is more.
UPDATE: Trey Burke is also going to Dallas and the Knicks are getting a pick or picks.
UPDATE: It's 2 future firsts from the Mavs, which can be used in drafts, or as trade currency before those drafts, including this year.

Are you fucking kidding me
I’m done
I enjoyed my time recently at the Brooklyn Barclays Center. The Nets are my team.
I can't switch teams, and, I still like Knox and Mitchell, but this is such a disaster...
It won’t be easy but that’s my plan
Hahn; this hac been in the works for months
I’m talking about having to maxes Why would anybody want to play here
Hahn
Rich, they'll end up firing the FO when Kemba's all they can attract and as Knox, Mitchell and this year's lottery guy prove to be a new core. Try to hang in there. Not sure switching teams is good for the soul.
I need to find some really strong smoke or drink.
Looks like we're getting the Mav's first, too. Better be unprotected.
Dallas traded this years #1 to Atlanta ...
True. Another great trade for them
Looks like it's a future first, probably `21.
Burke in the deal
i added that earlier.
Further update is that we are getting 2 firsts, not just one.
Wonder what else they'll do before the deadline. They just gave away their best asset...
the future 1st's are the only attractive part of this trade but you know the Knicks will just throw away those and/or their own..
If they don’t wave or trade Jordan and Matthews, forget about getting the number one overall pick.
Waive or trade.

ESPN Sources with @IanBegley: Dallas is sending New York a 2021 unprotected first-round pick and a 2023 protected first-round pick (1-10) in the deal.
I believe 2121 is the year 18 year olds might be allowed to be drafted? a double draft?

If you look at the NYK history over the last 15 years , it’s more likely than not that this move will suck because they will be unable to maximally exploit the opportunities the trade presents.
Rich, I agree ...given our history our quick fixes NEVER work!
They bailed on the rebuild, while KP's injury gave them the perfect opportunity to TANK. Let's see what else they can get at the deadlne in terms of talent and picks - peope do want Vonleh and maybe others.
new post.
