Giants Might Be Screwed
The big news this AM was that Matt Patricia, the Giants seeming first choice for new HC has chosen Detroit. Some rocket scientist. Anyway, that leaves the Giants with two "finalists" in the somewhat duplicative McDaniels and Shurmur. McDaniels wants roster control, which he's not getting from the Giants and so will head to the Colts. Did you like Jim Fassel? Did you like McAdoo? Then you'll love Shurmur and understand why I don't see titles there. What's more Shurmur might be headed to AZ. Leavingn the Giants 0-3 on their "three finalists" In other words, screwed.
They'll need to think outside the box to salvage this seeming full fail.
UPDATE: Rumors starting to mount that the Giants have hired someone. Probably won't announce till after the game and I might be mobile at that point, so use this thread.

A) Tvey foolishly leak like sieves
B) College coaches?
C) Wilts could be a fine choice
Belichick, Saban or something I'm not thinking about. Could be Wilks, but sure seem like their last choice. Though I'm sure they'll dress it up as Wilks already met both chief owners.
I don’t love Ranaan but this seems true: The luster of the New York Football Giants undoubtedly has worn off some over the past few years. A job that was once considered the gold standard of the profession apparently no longer has that tag. Too much drama, too much craziness, too many cooks in the kitchen.

They stayed with Reese way too long. He assembled bad character players. They insist on a Mara brother in the FO. The co-owner can’t find time for meetings that would streamline the hiring process. The GM hasn’t hired a coach in years.
Again, of the realistic choices: I want WILKS, not Shurmur.
MularkeyTenn split.
FWIW Lacanfora says it’s Shurmur
He night just be doing the math.
I don’t want him.
It would be over-learning lesson of the McAdoo fiasco, which sounds very John Mara-like.
The way to escape this mess is to take risks.
That’s what Tisch has done with his father‘s money, and it haa paid off. Apply that to football.
I see no real difference between Shurmur and Jim Fassel, and I think Shurmur is a year or two older than Fassel was when he got the job.
Good analogy. Which would be an OK Coach, but nothing special
