Clint Crushes the Crew

I almost lost an ear today as I was getting hair cut when Clint Frazier launched his walkoff and made bounce out of the chair.  Let's see what he did today.  He broke up and no-hitter.  He tripled in two runs (first scored during a missed pick off throw when Clint was at bat, so he gets the RBI) and then he hit a 3 run come from behind walk off homer. In case you're wondering, this is a kid you keep.  They need to trade Gardy and make room.  It's that simple. You don't send down special, and whether it's Tony Fernandez getting hurt, or Gardy needing to be traded, you find room.

Super happy for him. Was seeing the new Spider-Man when it happened so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw the box score.

Yeah, you kind of have to make room for him I think.

My 2nd fav prospect currently. I LOVE this guy and his potential but he does need work on his swing, so he needs to play alot. If the Yankees are not going all in on a playoff chase and are willing to sacrifice some growing pains (like Judge last year) on letting him play alot and get instruction on learning pitchers and working on his weaknesses.

As always, it would come down to the price. I think they should be sellers, personally.

RFBlues, I agree..a sell off would be ideal for low level (A-Ball) high level talent. We will be facing 40 man roster issues this off season so the younger the prospects the better.

If only Bird could come back and solidify the 1B position. All other positions outside of relief seems to be pretty solid.

It sounds like the price would be high enough to block Bird.

I would like to see some really good reporting on the degree to which Girardi and Cashman are on the same page. But I'm not holding out much hope.

So I guess Tanaka isn't quite fixed.

Someone posted that Cashman said they would be smart buyers. Unless they are buying with veterans that' seems unwise.

Frazier is making a statement.

I think they'll buy with vets and not future core.

They should seriously consider trading Gardner, but they won't, because they're afraid that would send the message they're "selling," when it would really be about making room for Frazier.

If I'm them, I'm trading both him and Castro in the offseason. Headley, too, if Andujar's defense develops enough.

There are rumors about SD's Hand. That fits their MO, ms suggests they don't fault Girardi at all.

by the way, Didi is showing again that if he doesn't hit for a high AVG he adds nothing offensively.

So my guess is they make Andujar available. I would trade Didi instead.

Andujar doesn't have plate discipline either, but he'll be cheaper than Didi for a longer period. Still, I'm not trading Didi unless a better alternative presents itself. It's not his fault he's being asked to be a bigger bat than he's capable.

Speaking of plate discipline, Mateo seems to have discovered it since his promotion.
