Yanks Call Up Slade and Sanchez

With the AAA season over for Scranton, the Yanks have called up Slade Heathcott and Gary Sanchez.  I wonder if we'll get to see them.

Beltran's defensive indifference allows the Jays their first hit.

I dislike him and want him replaced and believe he is a much bigger problem than most do.

Welp, who's up for a one-game playoff?

It's his smug stupidity that gets to me

I'd rather take the higher pick than make the playoffs with a shot bullpen.

Not only has the bullpen collapsed, the rotation has, too.

The manager needs to be fired tonight.

Just an all-around choke job by everyone.

As of now, this is Ellsbury's line: .261/.323/.354/.677. That's what, $22M for the next five seasons after this one? Geez.

I expect it to come out sometime during the offseason he had a nagging injury. He started out hot last year, too, before completely collapsing.

A non-anal idiot would play Slade in CF, Refs at 2B, and mix on Sanchez.

Tulo cracked shoulder blade. Still kicked butt w/o him.

Per someone on NYYFans, a combined WAR of .2 for Capuano/Drew, which cost the Yankees $10M.

It has either been George's maniacal meddling (at least until he started getting old) or Hal's complacent indifference.

At 7:18 PM, Blogger Mike in Mississippi said...

I actually checked, and I'm getting a -.3 WAR between the two. Yikes! Meanwhile, Moncada is in Boston.

George's passion was a huge fault at times, but at least he wasn't gutless about getting into a bidding war with the Sox.

He was good until '81, then insane until he was banned, and by then the foundation had been laid for the dynasty, and he left it alone.

As I have said, I can't lay it all at Hal's feet because we can't reasonably excuse a GM who has no trouble expressing his disagreements.

But it's not like Hal took the reins from his GM like George often did with mixed results.
