Yankees At the Deadline
Today is the trade deadline. Of course, trades can still be made after the deadline if the involved players can make it through waivers. But, what hurdle at the time. The Yanks don't appear to be hot on anything this morning, and let's hope it stays that way. They've already traded a promising young pitcher for an old Sori. Enough of that. If' anything, I'd like to see them trade Joba for more international pool dough. But doing nothing would be perfectly acceptable.

Also glad they did not trade any more of the kids. I think they realize, down deep, that this team is not going far in the playoffs, even if they get there. So why mortgage the future for a mostly futile shot at a deep run, even if it is Mo's last year.
