Yanks Promote Luis Severino

The Yanks, today, promoted dominant GCL rhp Luis Severino to Charleston of the Sally League.   This move may be because they need an emergency starter tonight and Luis is starting or they're showcasing him for a trade, or they got tired of watching him toy with just signed players.

The timing is curious because the deadline is Wednesday, and because they've been weird about promotions lately.   Seriously, what does Greg Bird have to do?   What does Gary Sanchez have to do?   It's ponderous.   Especially since farm wisdom has since the days of Ed Barrow was to push hitters and go slow with pitchers.   That's why I'm a little concerned about a trade or a spot start.  This promotion leap frogs SI.
