Rangers Sign D Troy Donnay
While the Yankees seem to have wisely away from trades at the deadline, the Rangers went ahead and signed Troy Donnay, a 6'8" 185 pound defenseman who impressed them at as an invitee to their prospect camp earlier this month. Obviously, the kid needs to fill out, but they must have liked something. Also, they are getting awfully tight on contracts, which seems like even more evidence that they have a trade coming up.

Is this Chara light
I saw elsewhere that he was 6"7, but the weight seems right. He needs 30 pounds, and fast.
I understand he is a solid skater for someone his size. Does he have a mean streak, or is he a passive type, like Pyatt?
