Yanks Take LSU SS in the Second

The Yanks just took Josh Smith, SS LSU in the second round.  This is, officially the least impressive first night in years.  Ghastly night at the draft for the Yanks.  I cannot believs this.  The idea of drafts is to add talent,  and the Yanks failed that task. Sure they picked late, but damn, nothing useful.  Disgraceful effort by the Yanks.

UPDATE: If this guy is Solak, with better D, he could be useful.  Sorry I was so disappointed last night.

The lefty they took with their second pick intrigues me, especially if he adds a few ticks on his fastball (which will inevitably lead to TJS — only half-joking).
