Big Mitch Makes All NBA 2nd Rookie Team

The pick of Mitchell Robinson is the high point of the Scott Perry Era. Let's hope he keeps making great picks and doesn't waste them on Anthony Davis. But, this award is a great achievement for Mitchell, and you have to wonder how much more he would have had to play to make the first team. His playing time was limited early by fouls and injuries. Can't wait to see his development continue.

Mitchell Robinson on what he's working on this offseason (in quotes released by the Knicks):

“I’m getting stronger and working on my threes.”

The problem with any of these New York franchises is that their self-perceived business interests are allowed to supersede on the field upside.

But how was that worked out? It has been a horrible. The Yankees were playing that bullshit game until they became sellers a couple years ago and look how much better they are now. The Giants missed out on Baker Mayfield or Kyler Murray because of the dual mandate produced a few edgy wins and although Daniel Jones may succeed it’s certainly less of a sure thing than Heisman Trophy winners will who played against top competition. The Knicks are the textbook example.

I mean it’s just so mindlessly stupid and hasn’t had the intended results.

So we’ll see what governs the Knicks now that they actually have the a young core Who may have elite potential but don’t have the glut of assets at the Celtics do.

As I said at the time, by including the Nets on his trade list he was giving them a big FU because he knew that wasn’t going to happen. (Granted, the Nets are well-run)

Too bad Leonard hasn’t been linked to the Knicks. He might be the best option.
