A Duke Watcher Looks at Zion and RJ

Here's a seasoned Dukie breaking down the two future stars. I'm starting to think that the best thing that can happen for the Knicks is that Anthony Davis decides to stay in New Orleans. Check it out.

The criteria he uses probably argues for Morant over Zion as well.

Since the Knicks don’t have a choice between them, it really comes down to whether or not one thinks Barrett has sufficient upside to keep him, as was reportedly their view of Zion.

My view is that he does.

But the guy makes an important point with regard to the business aspect that Zion satisfies.

I think it’s very likely that the Knicks, and no doubt and not unimportantly Dolan, will do anything Durant wants to get him.

So then it becomes about so much more because Robinson would almost definitely have to be included plus other costly assets.

I agree with you. That’s too high a price to pay.

I won’t be shocked if they disagree, and as with every trade for an established player, most fans and media will defend any trade they make if Durant signs here.

According to ESPN's Jackie McMullan, Pelicans owner Gayle Benson has directed GM David Griffin to avoid trading Anthony Davis to the Lakers. She reportedly told him, "To the Lakers, over my dead body."
