Rangers: Jim Schoenfeld Steps Down

Longtime Satherian functionary, Jim Schoenfeld has stepped down from his NHL/AHL perch after 17 years in the organization.  His 'decision" comes just days after the annual organizational meetings,  He was with the Rangers for what was their second or third greatest era, and he must've helped because they kept him for so long.

As to what this means, I again look at timing. Sather is stepping down this summer and the Rangers are overtlylooking to hire a new President.   So, either they know who the President is and he doesn't want Schoenfeld around.  Or, they're creating extra space in case the new President has people he wants to bring in - or Schoeneld just doesn't want to break in a new Prez. We'll see what what happens.
