At 30, the Yanks Pick Anthony Volpe

Yanks with their first pick just took SS Anthony Volpe.  Volpe's a righty hitter without one outstanding tool, yet it looks like his outstanding tool is his understandting  and feel for the game. Gleyber has a bit of that, sometimes, but Volpe is is an all arounder and not a specialist.  That said, he's a prep.  His broad range of tools can be coached up, and one or two could end up elite.  A well rounded ballplayer and we'll have to see what happens at 38.
