Hayes Gets an Ominous 1 Year Deal

When the Rangers hired Quinn, it looked like the Boston contingent of college players would be safe. Not so. Kevin Hayes, who seemed like a candidate for a letter just got a one year deal.  That makes him trade bait now or at the deadline. Sort of dissapointing, but in a rebuild, Hayes is the kind of guy you dangle, Vesey was the kind of guy who wasn't yet worth dangling, and Skjei was the long hold.  Hayes, like Miller before him, might have his value dinged by playing wing instead of C if he makes it to the regular season.
