Yanks Make Another Trade
After a more stressful Saturday than any of deserved, the Yanks traded Chasen Shreve and Gio Gallegos to the Cards for 1B Luke Voit, and international pool money. They were gonna have to make room tomorrow, so they picked up a slot here, by moving two more pieces off the forty. Voit is 27, a lefty swinger and has done nothing to distinguish himself with the MLB Cards. Looks like a DFA possibility. Getting more IFA money was good. But aside from that, I think this was about housekeeping and avoiding DFA'ing a P, rather than the team building they might still hope to accomplish by 4 pm Tuesday.

Addition by subtraction.
More 40 man cleanup. Now we can sign Oriel Ridriguez.
Sevy’s struggles with them aside, KC offers a good opportunity for Happ to start off on the right foot.
Jack Curry: Source: Yankees have sent Caleb Frare, a LH reliever who was just promoted to AAA, to the White Sox for $1.5 million in international signing bonus money. Frare pitched one game for Scranton. He was 4-1 with a 0.62 ERA at AA.
Any particular reason they’re collecting this IFA money all of a sudden?
New post of this. They must have other targets.
