Dillon Tate Scratched for a Trade
Ken Rosenthal is now linking this Yankee scratch to Zach Britton.
Looks like Yanks are indeed getting Britton. Got to see if we are also getting the rest of their International money.
So if the deal goes through, it's looking like we're sending 3 pitchers, including Tate and maybe Josh Rogers. The unknown is the worry, and we better be getting more than Britton.
Okay, so it's Dillon Tate, Josh Rogers and Cody Carroll, for Zach Britton and hopefully IFA cash.

Could be for Happ straight up
Looks like it might be Britton, which would be an overpay.
Toronto should have to give a team a player to take Happ.
Drury part of it as well?
Better not be hurt by the HBP.
With just Tate, it's an overpay. Drury got hurt and was lifted for Wade.
Ok. Good. Dont want Gausman or Bundy part of this.

I hope Britton reverts back to what he was before the injury if this is happening.
Good 40 man roster cleanup at the same time as Tate and Rogers would need to be protected.
Shreve's tenure is almost over.
Reserving judgment until I see the final price, but this type of deal has been obvious.
-Cashman is better at trading for relievers
-Thete are more quality relievers available than starters
-Chapman’s knee

None of these guys were on the 40 man. Great move by Cash cleaning up the roster crunch.
It was another good game for Bird, and Andujar keeps proving the doubters wrong.
If Tate or Carroll fulfill their potential it’s hardly a great trade.
You can always find roster space for quality. They have dead wood on the 40.
I’m not saying it’s a bad deal. It’s bette than giving anything for another Gray type.
Tates' value would never be higher. Cash in those chips before they crash.
Yanks also looking for some catching depth with Sanchez out.

All things considered, I think it’s a reasonable trade. At least they got quality and they didn’t trade any indispensable assets.
They now have fewer dispensable assets to trade for SP targets who probably have less upside.
