Yanks Promote RHP Garret Whitlock to Tampa

Garret Whitlock had been shredding the Sally League so today the Yanks bumped him up to High A Tampa.  Whitlock was DES RHP out of UAB they picked in the 18th round of the 2017 draft.  They popped him because he had been throwing 95 at the Cape the previous summer and had carried utter dominance through his sophomore season till a back issue rendered him vulnerable.  Well, he's been healthy this year and just crushing things for Charleston.  Remember, in last year's draft the Yanks took a ton of power pitchers and this one's starting to move. Fun stuff.  Now it's time to promote Erik Swanson of the .54 ERA at AA to AAA and Trevor Stephan from High A to AA. Let's see if they do it.
