Stanton Watch 2017
Starting almost an hour ago, Jim Leyritz, or someone using his twitter account said Stanton to the Yanks was a "done deal." Since then, every 15 minutes or so, someone or other has called it close. So, I'm staying in tonight, as I've seen this as a possibility since the July Deadline. Of course, what's given up will determine the merit of the trade, but adding Stanton to Judge, El Gary and Bird is intriguing to say the least.
UPDATE: Ken Rosenthal is now saying #Yankees in play for Stanton, sources tell The Athletic.
UPDATE 2: Passan's sources indicates momentum for Stanton to the Yanks is significant.

Castro has been mention and so has Montgomery.
Not the topiest prospects.

So, how late are we all agreeing to stay up? (I’m on CST.)
Fresh as a daisy for the next couple of hours.
@Joelsherman1
Source: Stanton from #Marlins to #Yankees is “virtually done.” Close to finish line. Hear #Marlins will get at least Starlin Castro plus good but not top prospects if completed. Again physical review can still be part of this so nothing final, but close
Any news of Castro getting dealt makes me smile.
Sounds like Stanton’s a Yank!
So I guess Stanton weill share DH/RF with Judge?
Marlins were planning to move him to LF at the beginning of ST this year.
Heyman: Done
Well well the ninja does it again
Rosenthal and Heyman saying it’s done ... only name released is Castro, which is probably the best thing I’ve ever heard.
Stanton turning down two trades seems to have really diminished the Marlins’ leverage, although final details will be the full tell.
Just waiting for the names then will do the new post. I was gonna wait for the names up in my loft, but I had to come down for coffee.
So Castro's the only veteran in the deal. The rest are prospects, but not the top prospects.
Didi has a good sense of humor.
Under the circumstances, very smart by Denbo. Best way to get upside:

And Yanks will still add more lower level guys with their IFA surplus.
Heyman was on locally here on WFAN, and says now Yankees will be he favorites for Machado next year as well.
They may not need him.
Plus they are taking the bulk of the contract. No need to take on more really long term contracts. They has hurt them in the past.
Castro, Jorge Guzman and Jose Devers is the trade. Yanks get 30 mil along with Stanton.
