Giants Offseason Pt. 6: The Running Back Situation

Even with Rashad Jennings, encouraging rookie Andre Williams and interesting pick up Orleans Darkwa, the Giants would be wise to score another high upside running back as soon as they can.    Remember that both Jennings and Williams were picked up before the Giants KNEW that David Williams would have to retire, and we should be rolling four anyway.

Ideally, the Giants can grab a future #1 type in the draft, because it looks like Rashad might have to be spotted on take on a third down type roll.  By the way, this coming draft is a great place to get a running back, and it doesn't matter if he's got David Wilson speed or not.  If he's another Williams, who is maybe a bit more patient, we'll have the new baby bulls.   I'll talk about this more as the draft gets closer, but it's a good place to find a back, and the Giants should do that.

If the offense of line becomes dominant again a lot more backs will be effective running behind it. But yeah they definitely need another one.
