Giants Offseason pt. 4: The Safety Situation

Over the past several years the Giants have had terrible luck at Safety.  Kenny Phillips was destroyed by injuries, Chad Jones was destroyed by an accident and Will Hill was destroyed by an antiquated NFL policy that had no business going after him in the offseason.  Further, Tyler Sash was a Big 10 only guy, and Cooper Taylor missed this year on IR.  At the end for the season, even rookie Nat Berhe got hurt.

Oh, and going into next season Rolle, Brown and Demps are all free agents.

Berhe and Taylor stil have chances to help, the this is a need that is sort of desperate in the short term and the Giants should probably address it in FA, given their draft luck with safeties.   I don't know if there's anyone worth the #9 pick -- there doesn't seem to be -- so let's hope they fix in in FA.

They let Hill go over reefer yet have signed domestic violence offenders like Boley and Bernard.

That's on them.

I agree. And I think the league was way out of line, too.

We would have won more games if we hadn't quite hypocritically cut ties with him over an unfair suspension.
