This Week on the blog...

I see traffic is up.  Thanks for reading!

This week, starting today, we're gonna keep sifting through the themes and likelihoods of the Yankees draft.    That will lead to a bigger look at the Yankee system as the picks start to sign, and the international signings become clearer.   Also, promotions should start taking place in the next few days, which should mean JR Murphy to AAA, Gary Sanchez to AA, and Pete O'Brien from Low A to High A.  And DePaula should start his ascent.  Also the short season rookie leagues should be starting out.  So it's a big week in Yankee land.

Also, we'll keep following Ranger Coach Hunt `13.   Not sure I like how it is feeling.   Also,  the Rangers will be having their organizational meetings this week probably in La Costa.  I wonder if that's still mob owned.  Anyway,  over the past few years they've made some minor league trades or signing during this period, so we'll see if anything's shaking there.  Their draft is at the end of the month and at this writing, they still don't have a first or second round pick.

The Giants have their annual mandatory mini-camp, so it would be a good time for Nicks to show up, and I believe Cruz will also start accruing fines if he misses it.  We could also see some roster moves.   They still haven't brought in an outside player to supplement the fullback spot while Hynoski recovers. Maybe they're planning more Hback stuff.

And the Knicks may or may not have some roster news.   Their draft is coming up, but of the 4 major -- and yes the NHL is still a major league around here - the NBA has the least cool draft.

So that's the promise.    I'll probably have my first post draft piece up in the next few hours.   Enjoy and thanks again for stopping by!
