Yankee Draft `13: Rounds 16-20
The Yankees continued taking care of business in rounder 16 thru 20 To wit, in 16 they Ryan Butler, a big JuCo RHP as 6'5 230. Then, in the 17th, they got that other Prep pitcher I was looking for by taking RHP Hever Bueno from Arizona, he seems to be 6'2" 175, but has sprung up over the last 4 years. He was originally a SS/2B, but now he's the pitcher of the year in his conference.
In 18, they took another Prep OF in Dustin Fowler another lefty hitter who checks in around 6'00" 185. The kid's from Georgia.
In round 19, they exhaled and took Andrew Beresford, and 6'6" 200 pounder from UNLV. He's a 5th year senior and may be older than some of the current Yankee relievers.
In round 20, they were back at it, taking Drew Bridges, a 6'4" 230 prep slugger they listed as a 3B, but scouting reports had as a 1B with fielding issues. We'll have to hear more about this guy, but the power potential is big time and he is yet another lefty bat.
Still looking for that Catcher!
