He Has Returned!

It appears that former Yankee "prospect" Bobby Meacham will be replacing Larry Bowa as the Yankees 3b coach. Apparently, Bowa, a darn good coach is gonna be on Joe Torre's Dodger staff. Looks like Tony Pena will be back as 1B coach and Dave Eiland will be the pitching coach. Mike Harkey, a good friend of Girardi's, will be bullpen coach. Longtime Yankee system coach/development exec Rob Thomson will be Joe's bench coach. And that should be the full staff.

What are your thoughts on the staff Phil?

Should be outstanding. Girardi is sharp.

I am excited as well. Oh well on Paulie, unless Joe has 11th hr heroics in him. I loved what O'Neill brought as a player and would love him to impart his wisdom on this team.

Do you expect guys like Pavano, and Igawa and even possibly Moose gone Phil?

Bobby Meachum??

Oh my!!

Paulie would have been ideal for 1B coach and slide Pena to the bench coach position.

Michael,

I expect Igawa to be traded. Pavano will be out all year as a result of his TJ surgery. You may see the Yanks try to get some money back from that guy. Moose will probably stay. He's a 10-5 guy.
