Horror Stars

Bela Lugosi (1882 -1956) the first Dracula of the talky era, only played his most identifiably character twice! First in Dracula, then finally in Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein. Unreal, eh? It's how he is remembered, but he did a lot more work in Horror. He was Ygor in the Frankentstein movies (a characterization I prefer to his Dracula) and even played Frankenstein's monster in Frankenstein Meets the Wolf Man. He also made many other horror thrillers like The Body Snatchers and The Black Cat. You all probably know of his sad, post heyday decline, so I won't recount it for you here, but Lugosi was a giant in Horror movies, even if many of us prefer Lee's Drac. Happy Haunting!
