Bird to the IL, Ford Up
So Greg Bird is down again, this time he has plantar fasciitis. I've had this one and it sucks. Anyway when are they going to start looking at his shoe. Rather than calling up McBroom, the Yanks are finally giving a chance to Mike Ford. They signed Mike as an undrafted free agent out Princeton, several years ago. He's a lefty who can hit, and has good pop. He once hit 4 homeruns in a High A game. He's also been lost in the Rule 5 before. So, after his long strange trip, he's finally become a Yankee at 26. Good luck, Mike.

Rich, I agree on your Yelich point in the previous thread, though I wonder what the Yankees would have had to surrender for him.
Really hate it for Bird. Always hurt, and hasn’t shown he can hit big-league pitching since 2015. It stinks, but it happens.
They need to look at their training staff. They did that in 2007-ish because of the rash of hamstring injuries especially Phil Hughes, and they fired the strength coach. Something is not right with the way this team is run.
And something that’s really not right is the manager, because when you’re depleted every small thing matters more. Boone has got to go now. The idea that he deserved an A last season as Cashman said is nauseatingly ridiculous.
Cashman is defending their medical staff but he has no credibility. Everything is cover your ass.
Remember back in like 2004 when he was humble and self-effacing? That guy is long gone
Is it just me or has Judge cut down on his strikeouts lately after that one rough stretch where he K’d a bunch?
Maybe Beltran fixed Paxton.
Sooner or later Beltran will get a managerial offer.
Boone blows chunks.
