Rangers Move Up to 2 In NHL Draft Lottery

The Rangers just got some lottery luck and moved up to #2, where they're likely to have a choice between Finnish Wing Kaapo Kakko and American C Jack Hughes.  The Devils will pick first, but both Huges and Kaapo are #1 type picks.  Now watch the Rangers take the Russian, Podkozin, who may never want to come to America. We'll see, but this is a really great night for the Rangers who have 10 picks in the first 3 rounds of a DEEP draft, along now, with the #2 overall pick!  Let's Go, Rangers?

Yeah, and relations with Russia are possibly going to be unstable for years further complicating matters. Too much risk for such a high pick.

I was kidding about the Russian. They'll take KK unless the Devils do.

I posted this last night but apparently it didn't go through...

Let's hope the Rangers luck doesn't take away any from the Knicks, we can really use Zion/Ja.

We can even hope that the NFL draft plays out in the Giants favor with a stud there for the taking but odds are Gettleman will pass him up and draft Daniel Jones.

If Giants trade up and/or draft Jones/Lock @ 6, hell even 17, I'm done.

People talk too much in the NYG organization. The Jones thing scares the hell out of me.

So Atlanta is getting Dallas’ pick and they can’t trade their pick next year so that means 2021, but 2022 is the really valuable year because the one and done could be over.

There's no guarantee Atlanta gets Dallas pick since it's top 5 protected. If Dallas gets lucky in the lottery, they keep their pick and Atlanta gets their 2020.
