Giants Golden Day

On day 2 of UFA, the Giants added edge passrusher Markus Golden on a one year deal, and 30 year old WR Golden Tate on a 4 year deal. Tate's deal is really probably a 2 year deal, and he gives them another productive mentor type to go with S Antoine Bethea, whom they also acknowledged today.  They also brought back CB Tony Lippett and DB/Special Teamer Antonio Hamilton. Tonight, they are hosting  OL Mike Remmers for dinner than, a guess a meeting and physical tomorrow. Remmers would be a perfect stop gap at Right Tackle, while the Giants draft another one among their first 3 or 4 picks. We'll see if they lock him up. Markus Golden is coming off of an ACL (second year off) and Remmers was bothered by back issues last year.

Not particularly impressed with Haekins. Love Murray.
@art_stapleton
If I'm putting odds on it, strictly based on gut feeling, I'd go Rosen-Haskins-Murray from likeliest to least likely.

I’d like to see them sign Jordan Lucas. Safety from KC. He is an rfa would cost a sixth, but is really good on special teams, and is exactly the type of player they should be looking for.

Feel like they're pretty set at Safety, though they could draft another one for Bethea to mentor. I don't think they'd go for an RFA right now.

Haskins has the best accuracy in years. Murray has the most upside and Rosen is still crap.

I hate the Tate move.

As long as Eli starts they are on a fast track to perpetual mediocrity as a ceiling. Just so disappointing.

Stapleton mentions the Giants like Herbert. That would be fine except for this nonsense win while you build shit. It’s moronic. No GM would choose that path; it doesn’t benefit them. It’s obviously an order from a beyond horrible owner.

The truth is, is that they could have won 8 or 9 gmaes last year, had they been able to finish. A better OL would have allowed that, as well as a better D. They will have both a beter OL and a better D when the season roll;s aroundl I don't think it will be unrealistic to be 8-8 or even 9-7.

What would that accomplish?

They would have a worst draft picks, and they were seeming still intent on getting rid of almost every quality veteran they had.

Yes I am overly reliant on speech to text, but somehow words change after I see them auto-typed correctly.
