The Knicks Season Ends

The Knicks, who took care of their tanking biz all year long, played the last game of their franchise worst season ever tonight.  Responsibly, they lost. Now they must wait for the NBA lottery which will take place on May 14th.  They have the worst record and the best odds, but the Rangers had the best odds in the Sidney Crosby draft, too. Weirdness can happen. Let's hope it doesn't happen, though the Knicks can fall now farther than #5, this is looking like a 2 players and a bunch of guys draft. Of course, it may not be, but I didn't see any NBA bodies in the National Championship game on Monday, and I don't know of anyone who is super comfortable calling Barrett a great option at #3.  So May 14th is the biggest night in years - not that they haven't been in the lottery most years, but they've neve been this well placed, and the penalty for falling is looking pretty extreme.  I'm sure it will be a wild offseason, so buckle up.

If I am the Pelicans and I’m thinking about trading Davis, I’m asking the Knicks for a package featuring Robinson.

I think the dilemma for the Knicks might be if Durant somehow wants to come here but he wants Davis as a teammate.
