Rangers Sign Kravstov and Shesterkin

Hot off their lottery luck, the Rangers come to terms with their two top prospects, Vitali Kravstov and Igor Shesterkin on entry level deals. The deals can't be signed till the KHL season ends, which will be in May, but they are both on the way. They also fired Keith McCambridge and let go one of his assistants down in Hartford. While Kravstov was expected, Shesterkin signing was a bit of a suprise. A lot of people thought he wouldn't come over while Hank was still under contract. Guess that was wrong.  Meanwhile, they can now move Georgiev if the proper deal comes along. He showed good value this year, but Shesterkin is the future, and Hank won't agree to a trade, so Shesterkin needs the back up starts. I wonder what the plan is for Rykov...

UPDATE: Tampa Bay tragically got swept in the first round, so the Rangers will get their second round pick, instead of their first round pick this year.  They still have a chance to add a third first rounder if Dallas can make it into the 3rd round of the playoffs.
