In re last thread: prospect rankings are disproportionately affected by the upper levels of the system and that’s what they lack, so in that sense it is depleted.
Where are you seeing this?
They have a bunch ready to burst like Michael King did this year.
Mike, I saw it from one of the big Yankee news accounts on Twitter, but it still hasn't been confirmed so it's either a bad report, or their are a lot of balls in play right now that will be announced.
They need to keep him.
If Kluber can be had for Florial then they need to man up and include him. This is a team built to win now, and you can fill your holes with elite free agents. Plus, the farm will have plenty of outfielders in the upper levels in no time.

The win-now thing makes the Corbin failure so bad.
Not a fan of Sonny. If they held the line of Corbin to get Manny or Harper, will it make more sense?
A few tidbits from Joel Sherman:
-Cashman said 11 teams have expressed interest in Gray. Said smaller group is focus now and those possibilities come in different forms big and small but “we haven’t found the sweet spot yet. #Yankees
-Cashman said #Yankees have scouted Kikuchi “extensively” and he has talked to Scott Boras about the LHP.
-“I have had several conversations with Danny Lozano about Manny Machado” #Yankees.
Cashman also says Harper isn’t a fit because they have “six outfielders,” but that has to be posturing. Stanton DHs mostly, Ellsbury is always on the DL and Frazier’s concussion issues are too serious to pencil him in.
No mention of Gardner’s potentially complete decline; he was that bad. Not good.
I guess we'lll need a little more patience.
I know Kay is a shill, but their behavior to date supports his claim that they will only be in on Machado at their price.
Not currently in on Harper.
If this isn’t posturing they are not interesting in being a dominant team.
Yanks and Mets may be working on a three team deal, where they are two of the involved teams and the third is unknown at the moment. Nothing seem imminent.
It’s the Marlins that will send JT Realmudo to the Mets and who knows what goes the the Yanks.

I classify a three-way deal between these teams as highly unlikely. Don’t bother staying awake for this y’all.

Rosenthal says the Yankees are open to moving Andujar. I think it would be a big mistake because his hit tool is so unique.
I think they would only move Andujar if Manny Machado has agreed to be their 3B. Unless one of them starts walking a lot, Machado and Andujar will probably be similar hitters, but Machado is a vastly beter defender at 3B than Andujar will ever be.
I agree but I still wouldn’t do it. I don’t believe in trading position players for pictures. They’re too fragile.
