Yanks Stuff

So Johnny Lasagna is getting the Thursday start agains the Rays.  They like him because he's already on the 40 and doesn't walk guys.  We'll see how he adjusts and if he can forestall a hastily made trade, that will rob us of some future core.  Meanwhile the Yanks have signed 2nd Rounder Josh Breaux and 3rd Rounder Ryder Green.  They both got about half a million more than slot, so as it stands now the Yanks have spent 5 million on their first 3 picks and have 1.116 + plus 5% allowable overance to use on the rest of the class.  The only 2 guys we know have gotten overslot are 2 and 3, the rest of the top 10 were underslot and Huthinson is the only one who hasn't signed because he's still playing. Not sure they'll have room to Isaih Gilliam anyone this year.

UPDATE: Justin Wilson is going back to Vandy. So he won't rehab with the Yanks.

UPDATE 2: After the game, Boone said Loaisiga was actually pitching Friday, not Thursday.

I think that's why Wilson is playing 3B tonight. Tney're considering a swap out.

That would be better. Sherman thinks he it could be Austin instead

Yankees believe in Tyler Austin and realize he hasn't had enough chances to play to work it out so far.

Sac flies are back in our gun rack this year. So many years where we couldn't get a fly ball when that was all we needed.

Middle of the lineup is a disaster.

Another reason I want Frazier up.

It would make sense. The kids are the only hitters.

Katie Sharp: “CC Sabathia had avg exit velo of 75.7 mph on 18 balls in play (per @statcast). That's the 4th-lowest by any pitcher in a game this season (min. 15 BIP)”

I, too, would like Frazier to be up, if you can’t tell.
