Giants Mini Camp Begins.

So the Giants mandatory mini camp is underway and everyone, including OBJ and Snacks is there.  Earlier today, they waived/injured CB Aaron Davis, the UDFA CB from Georgia, and signed TE Simonson.  That might just be about who can practice.  Davis might be back when he can.  We'll get back to that in a moment.  They also brought back DT to OT conversion Jaron Jones as well a DB Kevin Durden and cut Tyler Howell yesterday.

The first OL is now Solder, Hernandez, Halapio, Omameh, Flowers. So it appears that Halapio used the OTA process to wrench the starting C job away from Brett Jones. Halapio is bigger, so let's hope he provides at least a marginal upgrade over the game Jones.

We'll see if Davis comes back, but the Giants didn't draft any CB's and though DRC has made noise about returning, the depth on the outside is not deep. The fact is, one more good CB could really help.  And they might have a chance to get one in the Supplemental Draft.  CB Sam Beal from Western Michigan, is probably the best BPA of the Supp, and worth a 3 or 4 in the Supp. 6'3" CB Adonis Alexander got in some trouble at Virginia Tech, and might be off the Giants Supp board.  FS Brandon Bryant from Miss State is really fast and might be worth a 7.

I don't think the Giants have made a supplemental pick since they took Tito Wooten, but Sam Beal is probably worth breaking the streak.

Let's hope for no more injuries during the mini.
