Yanks Pick Brown's Reid Anderson in RD 40

I think this guy got hurt this year, because his numbers were awful and his innings were down.  If he was just bad, the Yanks wouldn't even waste the 40th pick so I think there's an injury.

And I might suffer one if I don't eat soon. I'm sure we'll talk about this a lot more as it shakes out.

That might have been Gray’s most efficient inning as a Yankee.

At least they’re not getting shut down by some bum with an ERA north of five I guess.

The offense is obviously above average but if Frazier is for real they need him.

At least Gray has something to built on. Good job
Obviously, at some point he has to do it with Sanchez.

Great game by Gray eventhough it was against a bad team. Hope this builds his confidence going forward.

Yanks need Gray to be good and to go deep into games. If Romine has to catch him and Sanchez DH's than it really shouldn't matter. This way Stanton plays LF with Gardner in CF.

Romine is gonna fall back down to earth offensively and at some point Sanchez is gonna simultaneously snap out of his funk and stop being so unlucky. When that time comes, Gray will have to begin tossing to Sanchez.

Of course, the bigger issue is whether or not Gray can have success at Yankee Stadium.

King either speculates o has a source that Torreyes could replace Austin. He’s hitting .214 at SWB.

Boone doesn’t like personal catchers.

I would trade Gray in a package for another starter.

Getting someone like Ross AND Hamels would be ideal for this team.

Drury and Estrada for Ross would be a good deal.

Hamels goes tonight against Cole and the Astros. Good measuring stick to see how he performs against a good hitting club.

Boone might not like personal catchers but it sure looks like Romine and Gray are paired together.

Rich any starter in mind you would like in a package for Gray?

At 6:37 AM, Blogger Rich said...

No, because I don’t know who is available and at what price. But I I would not trade a potentially impact bat for one, and the best time to trade Gray is when it’s hard.

Hamels FIP is 5.31. That matters. He would have to be almost free to risk that.

I think Hamels money could be an issue.

Yes because he isn’t that good anymore.

No, they will not be trading for Madison Bumgarner, according to Henry Schulman of the San Francisco Chronicle, who tried to immediately shoot down Alex Rodriguez’s speculation.

Schulman tweeted, “#sfgiants not trading Bumgarner this year, and they’re certainly never going to trade one of the greatest postseason pitchers in history, perhaps THE greatest, to a team they someday might meet in October” on Wednesday afternoon, after Rodriguez floated the idea while on Fox the night befor

I don’t think they’re trading him either, but that logic makes no sense. They’d only see the Yankees in the World Series, and let’s be honest, the Giants aren’t making it that far.

It’s just a writer, and like the Mets saying they’re not going to have a selloff, you got to be an idiot to say you are no matter what you do. But I don’t want to give up a ton of assets for anyone.

Really why do they even need a starter? They are not replacing Tanaka, they’re not replacing CC, they’re not replacing Gray. German may be on the verge of getting it. What’s the rush?

At 1:22 PM, Blogger Rich said...

And obviously Sevy. Duh.

It helps to have options. We saw that already with German filling in for Montgomery. Still, the question is always, “What is the cost?”

I think the offseason is when a semi-revamping of the rotation will happen.

At 2:21 PM, Blogger Rich said...

It’s cheaper then
