Knicks Stuff
Lot's of Knicks news. Enes Kanter has opted back in for the 2018-19 season. While this might be because he had no other suitors this year, if he doesn't finally play defense for Coach Fiz, he won't have any suitors next year. This could be the last money he ever makes in America.
In the bigger news, the Knicks unveiled their Vegas Summer League team, and it could actually win a game or two. Let's take a look.
First of all, both of this year's draft picks and last year's draft picks are on the roster. It will be fun to watch the bigger stronger Frank get the ball to the ever improving Kevin Knox, and the ever dunking and ever mysterious Mitchell Robinson. Damyean Dotson could have his hands full fending off Allonzo Trier, who's shorter but stouter and seems more aggressive.
Luke Kornet will be there, launching 3's and worrying about Mitchell. Troy Williams is also on the team and will either back up Knox, or start for him, if they want to take it slow or make him earn it. Isaiah Hicks will also be there. Lot of long guys who can run so far - other than Trier.
Other interesting names include Juwan Howard Jr. who's been playing in Europe, and Big Guard Michael Gbinjie, formerly of Syracuse, who played for Santa Cruz in the G-League last year. The rest of the squad is comprised of last year's G-League Knicks, none of whom were good enough to make last year's awful team.
Mike Miller, last year's G League coach of the year will be coaching the Knicks, and maybe should have gotten a more serious look at the big job when they were looking. That said, let's hope they can keep him in the organization, as he's a good coach.
