Yanks Calling Up Brandon Drury

Tyler Austin has a back, and Clint Frazier hasn't been down 10 days, so the Yanks will lose a year of control by calling up Brandon Drury.  This speaks to depth, and it gives them another righty bat off the bench as Boston will possibly start 3 lefties. Tough to lose a year of control so close to trade season.

UPDATE: Freicer Perez, the big righty strike thrower is gone for the year with unspecified surgery.

This is really about bungling the Frazier issue. He is almost certainly better than Hicks or Gardner, and this offense can be boom-bust inconsistent, yet they are failing to maximize their roster.

Their pitching has been very good in June. They don’t need pitching no matter what mediots or Cashman think.

Yet again development is working for them.

Cashman said that even with Tanaka coming back, and positives from German and Loaisiga, he isn't tempted to go with the rotation as-is. Only way they would is if the prices are too high.

Cashman on Clint Frazier: "I never said he's off the table. I'd like to keep him. ... He's not someone that is easily accessible. He's going to be someone that is asked about a lot, and understandably so."
