Giants Stuff

Some Giants Buzz today.  First, they could have a new coach as soon as tomorrow if the Vikes lose today, though I'd rather have the Vikes end the Eagles season, and get our coach in two weeks.

Second, the beats are now circulating Gettlemen's intention of building around Eli for the short term.  That certainly would make it possible to kick the QB of the future can down the road, and take Barkley at 2, or keep them open for a trade down. In any event, the Giants are going to need a franchise back, as much as a franchise QB of the future and they might be able to take care of both requirements in the first 2 rounds of the draft, because their should be some great backs available at 34 if they take a QB at 2.  All this will be predicated by the Giants fixing the OL before the draft.

Finally, word it that Jack Del Rio, the deposed Raider Coach is Shurmur's top for DC.  That's a bit of surprise since Shurmur and Spags vacation together.  We'll see what happens, but Del Rio reminds me of Fox and we'll have to find him some LB's if he comes.
