Yanks back to Cleveland

If we had a good manager, it would be on to the ALCS on Wednesday, but instead, because we don't it's back to Cleveland for game 5.  I thought we had to win it in 4, and no would would have but for an idiotic lapse by the manger in game 2.  Anyway,  Sevy lit it up, and though he gave up 3 runs over 7 with 9K and only 4H, 2 of the hits were HR's.  He's got to stop hanging so many sliders.  Judge had a big double and Sanchez had a big solo shot.  Clint Frazier had a great game, and Tommy Kahnle got 6 outs, 5 by the K, to end it when Betances was off his game again.  Now they have to beat Kluber for a second time, which is a tough order. especially if he gets the jumbo strikezone he often gets.  Anyway, they need to do this one more time, if they want to go on the run they are worthy of, despite their manager.

In the post game, drama queen has made the entire series about himself.

I don't interpret that as making it about himself as much as it was gratitude for his players picking him up.

That was huge for both Severino and Kahnle. Have to think Betances is traded this winter, which is a shame, but a fresh start somewhere else might do him some good.

Game 5 in Clev with CC on the mound. CC for 5-6 strong innings with Robertson and Chapman to close it out.

Kluber surely can't throw 2 klunkers can he?

Did they pick him up or just want to win for themselves? I opt for the latter.

It’s also a shame they can’t rely on Gray, but they can’t.

The problem with trading Betances is the risk of trade low. They need a new pitching coach to fix him and get the most out of Gray.

I hope they win it in spite of Joe. He’s made so many mistakes and that the series it’s unbelievable

Dillon Tate has been removed from the Scottsdale Scorpions roster with Albert Abreu taking his place, the Arizona Fall League announced. Also, Chris Gittens was removed from the roster as well. I’m not sure why Tate was dropped from the roster, but it could one of countless reasons. He could’ve gotten hurt. The Yankees could’ve decided to shut him down after Instructional League. The Yankees may think those innings would be better spent on Abreu. Who knows.

I tend to agree wth Rich, as last night's postgame could be seen as JG wanting to know that his players love him. Of course, he didn't have their backs in game 2...

I think Tate and Abreu are sort of interchangeable as prospects, and they might just want to split the work.

Saw this on another blog

Story on NJ.com today has Jeets working to bring Posada,Pettitte and Tino to Miami.

So the Sawx parted ways with Farrell. Why would doing the same with Girardi be a big deal.

Although I know it won’t happen. Sadly. Very sadly.

I wonder if the Yanks will hire Farrell for one of their openings, like Denbo's job, or as PC or as an exec assistant, if he doesn't get one of the open jobs.

Inexplicable.

First guess: I would start the 8th with Green or Kahnle.
