Phew!

Those of us here have always known that Greg Bird was in the same hitting universe as Judge and Sanchez.  Now more people are starting to get it.  Sure he's had bad luck with injuries and medical idiocy, but here he is now, and because he is, the Yanks will play again tomorrow.  Tonight in a scoreless tie through 7, Greg Bird went second deck and that was that.  Tanaka was brilliant and DRob and Chapman kept it clean.  Big game tomorrow.  Judge still doesn't have a hit and Castro should be batting 9th.

Kind of had a feeling about this one.

It could rain here tomorrow, maybe a lot.

The myth that Tanaka is not a big-game pitcher just got exposed.

Girardi qualified every semi assertion of contrition. He is unctuous.

I've found something phony about him since his earliest days on YES.

Olney thinks he isn’t coming back partially because he doesn’t want to come back.

Another negative that is often overlooked by some is that he gets relievers up and doesn’t bring them and way too often.

I think they're gonna turn the page. Denbo's last day is today, and it now feels like people are willing to rip Levine. So my guess is Cash becomes president, and we get a new GM and new head of development, and probably some other stuff, like new coaches.

If so, my guess is it’s Hendry.

For which job? I think there are a lot of internal candidates, but it is of paramount importance that we don't lose anyone else from the current minor league staff. We can add to it, but we don't want to get picked apart, like last time we were on the rise.

GM. I saw a report that the Marlins are interested.

Is it confirmed Denbo is leaving? I still haven't seen anything definitive..

I was at the game last night and that was the loudest the new stadium has been in my entire life, including all of the 2009 postseason. Almost felt like the old stadium.

The ball Bird hit was absolutely crushed.

Bird’s swing on that pitch was a thing of beauty.
