Knicks Pause Melo Trade Talks
As the Knicks tie the knot with their new GM, they have reportedly "paused" their trade talks with Houston and Cleveland. This seems like a formality while Perry saddles up, but could also be a re-set of the Knicks' leveraage over the next few days. Kind of them to let us know that we probably don't have to keep checking our twitter feeds over what I hope is a lovely summer weekend for all.

Game of chicken, in my opinion. They don't like the offers so they're trying to gain leverage.
"The New York Knicks are pausing trade talks centered on Carmelo Anthony and want to pursue a conversation with the 10-time NBA All-Star about possibly reincorporating him into the organization, league sources told ESPN."
This is scary, we can't rebuild with CA here .... Did THJr take over and convince our joke of Mgmt to change their minds and "Go for a Championship run" ROLMAO.......
No, I don't think so. Jackson devalued Melo. Houston and Cleveland still need him. They have to get fair value lot love him, so I just hope Dolan doesn't intercede at some point if there's an impasse.
I forgot about Melo's opt-out. So don't trade him unless the trade is a clear win. But trade Lee.
They are apparently trying to get Melo to expand his list.
The Knicks have to begin thinking in terms of maximizing value. They have devalued picks with short-sided trades and not ensuring that they don't lose precious draft order positioning with ridiculous end of season wins. They overpay almost everyone on the roster. So it should not matter what Melo wants. No deal should be made unless the Knicks are demonstrably improved by the trade. Otherwise stand pat.
Isola is so pathetically transparent. If they make a bad trade, he would dump on them. If they make no trade, same. Value not added.
