James Kaprielian to Have TJS
It happens every Spring, some great pitching prospect goes down for TJS. This Spring, it's Kaprielian, the Yanks best prospect. This is really unfortunate, because for the second year in row, he won't be able to help the big league Yanks, and does make a trade for an established starter more likely. That said, Montgomery was impressive yesterday, and Chance Adams was EL pitcher of the week in week one. And there's also Cessa and Green, and last night, down in Charleston, Albert Abreu K'd 11 and hit 100 on the guy several times in a 5.2 inning start He could move fast.
Here's wishing JK a complete recovery and a dazzling Yankee future.

Seconded.
Hate it for him, but the rehab obviously didn't work. Hope he comes back stronger than ever. Thankfully, the Yankees have built up some good pitching depth in recent years. If Severino figures it out, that would be huge.
I'm sure they always knew that this was the risk, but as I've learned from my own injuries, MRIs can be ambiguous, so you go with the conservative treatment as long as it's viable
Montgomery looked really good yesterday and I think he will have a good season.
Severino needs to figure it out as a SP otherwise moving to the BP could be an option as Betances was and he excelled.
Perhaps trading Betances in a Chapman like haul would be great come July.
All he has to figure out is a change.
Hal says they could be buyers.
Buyers? Let's not get carried away Hal... one more off-season to go after this year, and you will have your pick of the litter (most likely multiple picks 😊
Jackie Bradley, Jr. has 2 HR.
I agree, Montgomery might be one of those quiet prospects that ends up doing well. He has a Andy Pettite way to him that I like, good feel for his pitches and game.
Don't think we need to trade for a starter, good opportunity to see what we have in prospects.
Hope JK gets well and gets through this mentally and physically ok.
And how great was Sevy?
New thread about Sevy!
