Giants Sign G/T D.J. Fluker
Four years later, the Giants have signed their first round target from 2013. That's the draft where he get picked by the Chargers and the Giants settled for Justin Pugh, who is having the better career. Flowers has better feet than Fluker, but otherwise they are similar behemoths. If they are our two tackles, or if Fluker is the RG and Flowers the RT because we've drafted Boles or Ramczyk to play LT. Of course, if we draft Cam Robinson from Alabama, it will be anyone's guess which of he or Flowers will play LT.

I think a year under Coach Solari could do wonders for DJ
DIdn't seem toi do wonders for this past season's Giant OL's.
The signing isn't a bad risk/reward, but they still need two hits with OL in the first few rounds and a top RB as well.
Roll Tide to this one.
Who other then Vollmer can be signed and play LT
Phil, good point. I think DJ presents Coach with some potential, where as the Others we knew were not that good.
This is a big test for the front office and coaching staff. If the staff can turn things around for Fluker and Flowers and if they can draft one strong lineman, then they will have a very strong offense. For better or for worse, we'll have to wait until we see them play as a line to get the answer.
To me, this us a good illustration of how important coaching is in pro football. Getting players, and especially linemen, to perform above what is humanly possible year in year out is not easy, and to me it is a big part of the reason that teams are so inconsistent from year to year.
On a Wednesday morning radio interview with Sirius XM, Fluker revealed where the Giants want him to play in 2017.
#Giants OL DJ Fluker: I was brought into New York as a right guard, but I'm willing to play anywhere on the line if they need it
