Yanks Prospects Crush Astros

Wow, the Yanks were down 4-0 early against the Astros and then the prospects went plumb wild.  Flores homered, Pirela had an RBI triple,  Cave homered,  Bird homered and Rob Refsnyder had a 2 run single.  Nice show.   You knew Bird would homer, but Flores and Cave need to show more power and they both did.  Cave was coming on last year, though, and he's carrying it forward.  People forget how tough our homeparks are on lefties other than Bird.  Judge and Tyler Austin had homered already in previous games.

A good start to spring training. Obviously there's a long way to go, but the young guys are earning more chances every time they take the field.

We can only hope that they one day get a chance, but given their history it's an open question unless there's an extreme emergency.

Yep, that's the knock. Unless they're out of options or it's an emergency, they don't get a chance.
