Yanks: Judge Homers

Future Yankee RF, Aaron Judge, gave us all a taste of what is to come as he walked, then hit a 3 run homer in his 2 PA's in today's ST game.   Dream big on him.   A lot of people see him and see that he's the same size as Stanton and Winfield.  But, his hitting, to me, so far is a little more reminiscnt of The Big Hurt.  Big patience and pop.   Don't throw him into any deals, Yanks.

He is a big guy for sure but what shocked me was how fast he gets down the line.

Yanks just confirmed Luis Torrens getting surgery tomorrow to repair a torn labrum. Such a terrible blow and a tough injury but better than rotator cuff.

I have two torn laburms and they are uncomfortable. Contrary to what Dan Pfeiffer is saying, he should get his throwing arm strength back.

Memo to Hal:

If you want to cure the declining viewership problem (unless A-Rod's presence changes that, put the minor league games on YES instead of most Yankee games.

I had a partial labrum tear (SLAP tear to be specific) which curtailed my career but for the most part he should get his arm strength back, the biggest thing is range of motion/feel.

Not a good game for Refsnyder

Still don't really care about his glove in light of me not thinking this team is a contender.

It was the first game of ST so I'm not worried about his glove or his throw yet. He has to settle down and play and that's what ST is for.

Right on Phil and hope your discomfort is behind you (ditto Billy). LOL and "like" to LNJ, especially if ARod comes through at .250 with a 15 HR pace. Wins creates excitement, which in turn creates viewership. I remember too well the empty Stadium that greeted Mickey Mantle his last two or three sluggish seasons.

I should clarify -- that's not to say I don't care about his defense long-term. Either he can field at second or he can't. But this season, with this team, I'm OK with him learning on the big-league level.

And I'd so rather have Drew playing SS anyway.
