Rangers Sign Adam Tambellini

The Rangers have signed C Adam Tambellini.  Adam was the Rangers' first of three rounders when the second and third ones were Buchnevich and Duclair.  Thus, Adam's been a little under the RADAR.  But he's made the most of it, anyway.  He left North Dakota mid season to join the rough and tumble Western League.  When the Rangers got Adam, he was a tall playmaker who needed to fill out and add toughness, and that's sort of why college seemed to make a lot of sense for him -- it would have given him 3 or 4 years to grow.

The Western league basically challenged him to grow and get tougher or perish.  Adam answered the call, and has become a bigger, stronger and better skating dominant player in the Western League.    He looks like another power forward/power center prospect at this point and so the Rangers have signed.

That `13 draft has been really impressive so far -- and it's amazing that they didn't have a first or second rounder.  Could go down in history like the Giants' 2005 draft.
