NFL OPEN SEASON

Well, the East Coast has now entered the day in which the new NFL Year begins.  Only the free agency part doesn't begin till 4pm.  What kind of year starts at 4pm?  Are they all out tonight drinking themselves silly and 4 O'Clock in the afternoon is as soon as they think they can go?  Otherwise,  what's the point?  And how much excitement has been taken out of this day by the "legal tampering" period.  How much schmuckbait will the Sports Anchors have to launch tomorrow to pretend there are complications to fait accompli's we already know?  Yeesh.  Watch twitter not TV.

And speaking of this ridiculous "legal tampering" period, where deals with other teams' players were being made left and right -- anyone else think this is really a trap?  Like the "uncapped year" was?  Does anyone else think some owners might sock it to other owners again?   Really, what was the utility for this?  More transparency or another opportunity to entrap?   We'll see.

Should be fun -- but was more fun before the phony baloney "legal tampering" weekend was installed.   Seriously, this was a bigger joke than the pro-bowl.
