Tanaka Declares Himself Healed

In his first meeting with the press today, Yankee Ace Masahiro Tanaka declared himself healed.   If he is, that changes quite a bit of the prognosis for the 2015 Yanks.   What's more, if Pineda and CC are similarly well, we'll get to see just how much a team can do with pitching and defense.  The offense will remain a question till they prove they can consistently score.  But Tanaka's news is great for the first day -- and with the Yankee pen, they should never consider pushing him again.

Way, way back in the day, I was kind of um, struggling with something, and I used to watch this tele-evangelist (before they became political), Earnest Angley, who would, you know, faith heal people, for inspiration.

The title of this post made me think of that. :)

Anyway, I hope he is.

I hope Pineda stays intact, and that CC relearns how to pitch with his remaining stuff.

But I love offense, and so that remains a huge concern.

Spend Hank!

"The Yankees don’t want to pay $30 million to $50 million for a 19-year-old who is at least two years away from the big leagues."

Who knows if King knows anything, but the above excerpt does typify their approach in recent years.

If you can help today, they will set huge money on fire, even if you are pushing 40 or have a ton of mileage on your body.

If they have to wait for your services, they demur.

I think we're getting the kid.

I think the fact that he was brought back for a second straight day to face minor league pitchers in front of the owner is a very good sign. It seems the spending part is all based on Kings own opinion, so let's hope he's wrong as he typically is.

Per RAB: "King says the Yankees don’t want to pay Moncada the $30M to $50M bonus it will take to sign him, which seems like typical Yankees posturing. They always seem to say “we like him, but not at that price” whenever they really want someone. - See more at: http://riveraveblues.com/2015/02/king-yankees-held-third-private-workout-yoan-moncada-114722/#sthash.kKsgDOPh.dpuf"

Agree with Billy -- don't think they would have done a third workout if they weren't serious.
