Rangers Tonight

The Rangers have a game tonight and another tomorrow, and that's the end of their preseason.  Meanwhile, they still have a bunch of decisions to make, so most of the kids and all of the bubble guys will be playing tonight.   One thing they have to do is choose a 7th defenseman.    Bodie and Allen were sent down in second cuts, so they're out of the picture for now.   McIlrath has looked the best of the candidates, but most folks think he should go down to Hartford so he can play every day.  This is where the Klein trade really bites us.   McIlrath may finally be ready -- or close enough -- and we can't offer him a regular job because we traded for Klein who's got an inflated cap number for another two seasons.   Ecologically unsound.    Anyway, Hunwick and Kostka are awful, but it will probably come down to one of those guys.    And next year, Skjei will need a spot.  We're log jammed on D.
