Yanks Buy Jeff Francis From Oakland

The Yanks got well travelled Lefty Starter Jeff Francis from the A's today for cash considerations.  I didn't know Cash had any considerations anymore.   Francis is 33 and was the only A's starter with a bad ERA so far this year.   We'll see if there's any pinstripe effect.

In other deck chair news from the Titanic, the Yanks DFA'd Miller and recalled Daley.  I don't know why they insist on all of these old solutions for the pen when they have a farm full of live arms.

WFAN said the Yankees will send a PTBNL as well.

Ramirez isn't better than these slugs?

btw, Hal needs to sell the team. He is as big a phony as any owner in sports, and probably not as smart as Hank.

Yeah, could Ramirez possibly be any worse than this cast of journeymen relievers?

Ramirez is injured. Might want to look at Burawa or someone like that, but Ramirez and Pinder are out now.

I wonder how many games they lost because Girardi refuses to use Robertson in none save situations.

That's why "closer" is sort of a bad position/designation because it idiotically takes your best reliever out of high leverage situations and puts him in too many low leverage ones.

That's why I don't want Betances closing.
