Yanks: Tanaka to the 15 Day DL with Elbow Soreness

Yankee ace Masahiro Tanaka has been sent to the DL with elbow soreness.   We'll see where it goes from here, but the Yankees really, really, really should not be buyers at the deadline, unless they believe 4 injured starters is a "go get `em" sign from above.

They shouldn't be buyers anyway.

Still optimistic on Tanaka though; I am thinking they are merely being very cautious with the franchise.

On the bright side, at least it's not his shoulder.

So they're saying that they won't have any results of the MRI until Ahmad reads it but he's out of town? You could read an MRI on an iPad now. And apart from that any radiologist can read it.

Ellsbury is really good. Really overpaid, but really good.

Tanaka may fly to Seattle to see Ahmad. He really shouldn't be the one who has to take the initiative.

Carlos Beltran has two small facial fractures after being hit by a ball that ricocheted off the cage during batting practice, Joe Girardi announced. They still need to make sure he did not suffer a concussion, but there’s a chance he will avoid the disabled list. The All-Star break is only four games away, after all. This team, man.

I understand that Dr. C. Ahmad likes to see both the MRI and the patient in person. Just the way he operates. That's why they are flying Tanaka out there. Besides, he is at a conference in Seattle, and there are many specialists there that Tanaka could see if it's related to the muscle, ligaments, etc.

I understand. I'm skeptical of doctors in general, but you're right.
